Hi there! I'm Cláudia, a passionate linguist and seasoned translator with a love for words that has shaped my entire life.

My background

Growing up in northern Portugal, I developed a deep appreciation for languages early on, studying four foreign languages by the time I completed my A-levels. In my early 20s, I moved to London, where I lived for seven years, studying for a BA in Journalism & Media Studies, and working for the BBC and Red Bee Media in west London. These experiences immersed me in the heart of the UK’s media industry, where I spent over 15 years crafting and refining diverse television content in Portuguese, Spanish, and English. These roles helped me develop a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of the UK and Iberian media landscapes.

In addition to my time in London, I lived intermittently for three years in Catalonia and Andalusia. In Barcelona, I worked as an Editorial Assistant for Editorial Planeta, Spain's largest publisher. And in Seville, I set up the Spanish editorial team for Red Bee UK, honing my language and leadership skills. Working at Red Bee, with its need for concise communication and tight deadlines, allowed me to develop a commercially focused mindset.
