Turning words into bridges.

About Me

I am a Portuguese translator with over 20 years’ experience helping organisations communicate clearly and effectively in Portuguese. My work spans humanitarian aid, global media, and publishing – always with the same goal: bridging languages so vital information can reach the people who need it most.

Alongside earning an MA in Translation Studies with Distinction from the University of Birmingham, I built a career working with respected organisations such as the BBC, Red Bee Media, Grupo Planeta, and Translators without Borders. I have also collaborated with UN agencies, NGOs, and two of the world’s largest streaming platforms.

My expertise combines academic rigor with practical insight:

  • 🎓 MA in Translation Studies (Distinction, University of Birmingham)

  • 🌍 20+ years’ experience across humanitarian, media, and corporate content

  • 🛠 Skilled in CAT tools, terminology management, and research for accuracy and consistency

Whether translating, proofreading, or leading multilingual teams, I focus on delivering work that is precise, culturally resonant, and tailored to its audience.

💬 My mission is simple: to help your message resonate in Portuguese and break down language barriers that stand in the way of understanding.
